Mini Puppets

February 18, 2011 by Kimberly 1 Comment

The mini puppets!

I have mentioned this before, but Lorelai has been begging me for some puppets. I have been meaning to sew her a couple, however the timing hasn’t been right. After our craft yesterday, Lorelai grabbed the spare paper plate that was just sitting there and she starting making her own craft. She came up with this little robot guy that was pretty cute, and she said it was a puppet. Then I thought, why not paper puppets? She would be able to help make them and would really enjoy playing with them. So I made a template last night, and it’s also available to you!

Open Mini Puppets Printable

Materials We Used:

  • Cardstock (for printing puppets onto)
  • Scissors / Glue / Paintbrushes
  • Paint in assorted colors
  • Googly Eyes
  • Popsicle sticks (we used the mini ones)
  • Marker for drawing on the features

Directions: Print out the printable (link above) and get your child to paint each animal/robot. Once dry, cut out and glue down the eyeballs. Draw on the features (beaks/mouths/etc). Then glue the animal/robot onto a popsicle stick. Very easy!

Thank you for sharing! I just printed this out for Hannah, she will love them. I appreciate your willingness to share all these with everyone. I want to go back and print some of the other ones too. 🙂 You rock, Kim!
