It’s been over a week since my last entry. Last weekend I was under the weather and just feeling blah, so I stayed offline for most of the weekend and beginning of the week. Lore and I didn’t do much craft-wise. I bought her a sketch book and she’s been having a lot of fun filling it with creative colorings, as well as coloring endless pages in her new coloring book to send to her “friends.”
We’ve been bed (new mattress/box spring) shopping the past few days and haven’t been able to find one that we actually like in our price range. Actually, we did find one but the guy wouldn’t drop a $90 delivery fee. Being less than a mile from our apartment, there’s no way we are paying that much. So, no thanks! We’ve been splurging a bit and have also bought some frivolous things for the apartment and ourselves. It’s been a while since we’ve indulged and it’s been nice. I got some new earrings (as I lost all of mine on the move here a few years ago; I’ve been alternating two pairs since.), Máyo got some new shoes (necessary), and I got some new running shoes. Kohls was having a great sale today on their jewelry and I got some awesome deals on new earrings. Sterling Silver originally $45, down to $8 – 14/each. Can’t beat that!
Sometimes you just have to spoil yourself.
Then we hit up the Kirkland’s outlet store by our home. I love this store. I’ve already got all of our new bedroom decorations picked out for whenever we DO get a new bed. Hopefully it’s all there whenever that day comes. 🙂 We scored this cute wall hanging for over the table in the dining area. It was originally just a blank space of wall. We got it for $35 (50% off). It’s totally my style now – the [inside] frame with the cool font, the damask background and dark brown/black frame. I had to have it! (Pic below) Two cute “nightlights” made it home with us as well – a glass butterfly for Lore’s room and a glass lamp one for the bathroom.

Other than a buttload of running around and shopping, not much else has been going on this weekend. It’s been rainy and gloomy so we’ve just been hanging out around here. 🙂
