Homemade Sidewalk Paint

Sidewalk paint was another activity that I had on my list for things to do with Lorelai while on ‘vacation’. So this morning, when we didn’t have anything to do, I took her outside and we got to it. It was very easy and she had a lot of fun doing it – which is the point, right? =) Scroll down for directions.

Crush the Sidewalk Chalk

Add water and mix!

When I say ‘easy’, I mean it! This is possibly the easiest recipe out there for homemade sidewalk paint. You know, because sometimes you need to switch it up from the boring ol’ chalk. You will still need chalk though!

Materials We Used:

  • Recycled Fruit Cups, cleaned
  • Sidewalk Chalk
  • A Hammer or other hard object
  • Water
  • Paintbrushes

Directions:
Crush the sidewalk chalk, one color at a time, until it’s a fine dust. Put into the cleaned fruit cups. Add a bit of water and mix. Take care when adding the water – too much and your paint will be too watery.

There you have it. Like I said… easy!

NOTE! I didn’t get an end picture, but it dries SO vibrantly when done this way. Definitely the best sidewalk ‘paint’ out there!!
