Cornucopia Craft w/ Printables

November 5, 2010 by Kimberly 10 Comments

Here’s a fun cornucopia craft. We did this today after I finished printing everything. The food & acorns were from fonts that I found online and the leaves were basic Photoshop shapes. The cornucopia was a whole other story. I searched online for a printable but couldn’t find one that would suit our purposes. So, I designed one. I wish I could say that it was easy, but it was NOT. I spent at least an hour trying to freehand one with a mouse (I really miss my Wacom Tablet!). No go. So I finally got this. It’s not the greatest, but it’s free and will get the job done! =P I added all of the shapes we used into printables. I printed ours out on cardstock so that we could paint them. If you want to just color them with crayons/markers, regular paper will work just fine.

I cut the shapes out after they were painted and [mostly] dry. It helped because the edges didn’t curl as much as they would have had they been cut and wet.

Finished Product! Not the greatest picture. It actually came out really cute and I can’t wait for it to dry so that we can hang it up on the fridge. Another way you could do this is by gluing the painted cornucopia on two cardstock sheets and then spreading the pumpkins/leaves/acorns out before it. Ours is kinda all piled up, as you can see. =) Still a fun craft!
