Did you know that pilot whales can live in groups of thousands and like to eat squid? They also live around 50-60 years, though they are often hunted and killed for their meat before then. Pilot whales are distinctive looking because of their bulging foreheads and slender, pointed flippers. Lorelai enjoyed painting – cutting – assembling this pilot whale (and baby!) craft!
