Recycled crafts are by far my favorite to do with my kids. I love being able to use up old packaging or toilet rolls to make colorful and fun crafts with them. They’ve always enjoyed it also!

Maddie, my newly 5-year-old, made this craft with an empty egg carton. We went through quite a bit of eggs around Easter, so we utilized one of the packages and made these super cute flowers! As you can see, we used 4 of the “egg cups” and then used a bit of the lid for the stem and leaf.

She painted the interior of the flower a sparkly pink and a sparkly blue, then painted the stems & leaves green. A little bit of white school glue was perfect to attach the leaf to the stem, and the stem to the flower.

In the center of each flower, Maddie added a gem. Our egg cartons had a tall bit that stuck up between the egg cups. I chose to trim it down a little at the end. She then added the gems to cover the holes.
I hope you get a chance to make some of these super simple flowers with your kids. Happy crafting!
