Leaf Butterfly Craft

This is another craft I came across on No Time for Flash Cards. It looked simple and cute enough to do this morning before we head up north to M’s parents’ house. Lorelai was really excited to do this one because, like most girls, she loves butterflies. When we were in MD, we would see hundreds of butterflies while riding around the farm on the four-wheeler. I’m not sure what caused an abundance of them up there this year, but they were everywhere.

Anyway, thanks to my hubby for going out and collecting the necessary leaves. There weren’t many butterfly-wing-esque leaves on the property, so we made do with what we had.

See? Really simple! Lorelai had fun picking out the leaves for the wings and gluing them on.

We’re just waiting for it to dry before we wrap it up in some of our spare tissue paper so that she can give it to her Grandma!

  1. Oooh love it! Those leaves seem to have worked beautifully – all our leaves are still green and not even close to butterfly-esque. Maybe a nature walk is in order to see if we can find any to do this cute craft!
