It’s Friday evening and I’m relaxing on the couch surfing the internet and watching my husband kick butt on his favorite XBOX 360 game. In his defense, he hasn’t played in ages and I actually enjoy spectating. Lorelai is tucked into her bed with her Baby Doggy (blanket) and Protector Unicorn. Did I mention that I had to check her bedroom completely last night before she would even lay down? She thought there was a monster lurking somewhere out of sight, but was easily placated after I deemed it monster-free and safe. Dexter is snuggled up under my chin (his favorite spot, apparently – I’ve nicknamed him “Scarf”) and purring in kitty-cat contentedness.
We are planning on going up to his parents’ house tomorrow to see his younger brother. He’s in the navy and is finally coming home for a little while (we aren’t sure on the exact length of his visit yet) to visit his family and girlfriend. M’s really excited about this, and so is Lorelai. She really loves her uncles and aunts (from both sides)! =)
I skipped out on preschool and crafts today. We were both pretty burnt out from going hard all week. We’ll probably work on something tomorrow to take to Grandma, though. I’m thinking a leaf butterfly!
