Santa Ornament

December 5, 2010 by Kimberly 5 Comments

I came across this craft here and thought it was really cute! We had all of the materials and paint and Lorelai asked to paint, so win-win. =) Ours didn’t come out as nice as the one shown, but then again, a 3-year-old did ours (though I assembled).

A strand of hair got painted – she’s not going gray prematurely, I promise! LOL

Are you kidding me?? I’m not sure you could force an unwilling toddler to do crafts, even if you tried. Why would anyone think that doing crafts is some sort of punishment? I don’t get it.

I can’t speak for all kids, but Mia can’t get enough of this stuff! She asks to do crafts or drawing several times I day, more than I have the time or energy to actually do. I was the same way when I was a kid. It’s fun!

Don’t worry about silly comments, and keep up the good work! 🙂

Thanks guys. I was feeling a bit insecure myself after seeing that comment, but it doesn’t really make sense. I don’t know why I let ignorant people bother me!

I am SO glad that you blog all the crafts that you do! And I am one of those parents that gets motivated and inspired after seeing your blog entries to do more with my kids! And wish I could do even MORE! I too think it’s a ridiculous assumption to think that you FORCE Lore to do any of the crafts. You can tell by her face in most of the pics that she loves doing them! Keep up the amazing work, and don’t let dingbats make you question yourself! (And it’s funny, as I was looking at todays post- the hand print Christmas tree- I was thinking that Lore could be an amazing artist one day because of how devoted you are to letting her express herself! So definitely keep it up!)
