Puffy Paint Recipe

So simple and fun!

Puffy Paint, aka Shaving Cream Paint, Fluffy Paint, Cloud Paint, Snow Paint, etc., is a fun twist on traditional painting. It’s so simple to make and LOTS of fun. I love it because it can be used on projects that are all white – polar bears, clouds, snowmen, and today ~ a ghost!

So here’s the secret: 1 part shaving cream, 1 part school glue
I told you it was easy! =) Just throw the ingredients in a bowl and mix, mix, mix. Once the shaving cream forms stiff peaks, it’s ready to be used as paint.

Another version of puffy paint is shown on the polar bear page. It works okay, but is more “textured paint” than puffy paint. Still fun!

Puffy Paint Recipe: Equal parts flour, water, salt, and tempera paint. Mix together and paint… that’s it! Will dry slightly raised. (I used 1/2 cup each and it was wayyyy too much. If you’re just planning on using it for this craft, use a lot less.)
