{ Buying Materials }

We went shopping today for some stuff to help me do preschool activities with Lorelai. We hit up Half Price Books first in hopes of finding some cheap bird books for this week’s theme – they delivered! We ended up spending about $35 in new-used (they are in new condition with very little wear) books that would normally cost a lot more. Score!

After that, we drove around to 2 different teaching supply stores only to find them closed on Sunday. Bummer. Mayo ended up calling his sister to ask where one was, and she pointed us to a store near the Galleria. Awesome store! We got new paint cups/brushes, window markers for rainy days, a huge floor puzzle by Melissa and Doug, dry erase markers, and a Print & Wipe book that will help her learn to write the alphabet.

Here are 2 of the 3 other books we got in the clearance section of HP Books. The Princess Book was a free book from DoubleDay (we fulfilled our contract so we got a freebie). This pic is just missing the Mammals book she picked out.

Testing out the window markers/crayons… Works pretty good!

I ended up hitting Wal-Mart after for a few other essentials – a cheap white board, new paint (we ran out), scissors, glue (again, ran out) and a cheap crayon box that Lore is totally obsessed with.
