Paper Bag Turkey Craft

Brown paper bag puppets are always fun to make. We have made quite a few, including an owl, eagle, puppy, and a giraffe. I thought this turkey puppet would be a fun Thanksgiving Craft to make, and I was right! Lorelai really enjoyed this one. She did almost all of the work. I just drew the shapes of the feathers and beak for her. She was very proud of her turkey!

Materials Needed: Construction Paper (various colors), a Brown Paper Lunch Bag, Scissors, Glue Stick, and a marker.

Directions: The instructions for this are self explanatory; just draw the feathers/beak/wattle onto the construction papers and cut out/glue down. See the photos above and below to see positioning! Tip for the feathers — expedite the cutting process by layering your construction papers and cutting all out at once.

I give this craft five stars — it’s easy to make, only needs a few common materials, and the end product is adorable. I hope you get a chance to make one with your child(ren)!!
