Tissue Box Monster Craft

Lorelai's Tissue Box Monster




This week has been such a challenge. I’ve been sick, so Lore and I have been cooped up indoors (though, my awesome husband has been taking her to the park daily to get her out). We have done plenty of crafts and fun activities to keep us busy, but it did seem like the week just dragged. Lore was having a really hard time yesterday afternoon (meltdown), and when it was all said and done, she needed to do something to do that would turn her attitude around.

So I got creative and grabbed an empty Kleenex box that I’d been saving. Lore and I got to work on making a fun tissue box monster. This was so easy!

Materials:

  • Empty Kleenex Box
  • Construction Paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick
  • Optional: Googly eyes, other decorative items

Cover the Kleenex box in construction paper, glue down, and decorate! Easy peasy! For the front/top of the box with the hole, I stuck my husband’s tiny work flashlight in the box, put the construction paper over it, and drew the oval with a marker so it would be exact. Yep, I was patting myself on the back for that, lol.

Anyway, Lorelai was really impressed with her monster. She cut out all of the teeth and glued everything down. She said she was going to use the monster box to hide her “super secret stuff”, whatever that is. Probably stashed candy and Polly Pockets. =)
