Lorelai was ready to craft today after taking a few days off. I thought up this craft while driving her to school the other day, and I just *knew* it would turn out cute… and it did! Suncatchers are such a fun, hands-on craft that I try to find an occasion to make one quite often. The last one we made was the Fall Leaf Suncatcher. This turkey is now hanging just above it on our door. I wish I had a wider bit of glass so that the strips on the window wouldn’t show through. Oh well!

Knife/Exacto Knife/Scissors to cut out the inside of the tail feathers.
Wax Paper
Scissors
Glue
Tissue Paper, cut into squares (we used red, yellow, and orange)
Googly Eyes
Directions:
First, cut out the inside of the turkey’s tail feathers. I made the area slightly gray. DO NOT cut out the turkey body. Just go along the solid black line. I cut ours out on our cutting board, using my husband’s sharp knife. An exacto knife, pairing knife, or even scissors will work too.
Note: Both turkey sheets should be facing UP. They definitely need to be facing the same way so that the tail feathers match up when it’s all put together.
Cut out your piece of wax paper and glue down.
Cut out your squares of tissue paper.
Add your glue to the “window” area.
Add in your tissue paper! Fill the whole feather area.
