Apple Printing Craft

October 14, 2010 by Kimberly 5 Comments

This craft has been on my to-do list for weeks. Printing with apples (and potatoes!) is always fun. As I’ve mentioned before, Lorelai pretty much adores any craft that involves paint. I can’t tell you how many jars (of paint) we’ve gone through in the past few months… We just finished up another of red today.

So apple printing. Cut an apple in half (length-wise so it retains the “apple shape”). Dip in paint. Press onto paper. Voila! Easy-peasy.

I was planning on cutting these out after they dried to incorporate in a preschool plan, but Lou was going to town overlapping and making “art”. I think it looks better this way, anyway!

I was using Crayola craft paint on this craft. We also have tempera and watercolors. 🙂

[…] Apple printing is a fun fall activity that I do with Lorelai every year. It’s still a bit early in the season (actually, I don’t think it’s technically fall yet – shhhh!), but Lore had fun with it, regardless. She got upset when some of the prints weren’t fully painted. I told her that the ones that weren’t fully filled-in were my favorite because they had cool designs. After a moment, she agreed. =) Here is another of our apple printing projects! […]
