Valentines Day is just a few days away! We haven’t had the chance to do many fun projects for the holiday as of late, but we will make up for it this week. I originally saw this on Pinterest (original pin) and knew we would have to do it! We did a fun handprint heart display card last year, and a basic handprint heart print earlier this year. This craft is of the same idea, just cut out of paper. Genius! Lorelai decorated hers with marker and glitter glue and is planning on giving it to her daddy on the 14th. I hope you get a chance to try this one out – it’s really cute!

What You’ll Need:

  • Cardstock Paper
  • Hand
  • Marker
  • Scissors
  • Art Supplies to Decorate

What To Do:

  • Fold your piece of cardstock in half. Press fold down until completely flat.
  • Trace your child’s hand close to the fold, making sure that the thumb and pointer finger slightly lap over the edge. (See Pictures) Trace to the wrist on both sides and then move your child’s hand off of the paper and finish filling in the wrist part so that the hand is complete.
  • Cut out your child’s hand. NOTE: Be sure to NOT cut the folded area where the thumb and pointer finger are – you need those pieces connected so that the project will come out correctly.
  • Once cut out, open the handprints and admire the heart in the center.
  • Decorate and you’re done!
