This was the second craft Lorelai requested. I think it came out soooo cute! I had the green background in my scrapbook case, and thought it was perfect for this one. It sorta resembles bamboo! Lorelai had fun painting and gluing this one. We’ll probably make it again, but with a different color (maybe blue or purple?).
Materials We Used:
- 1 Piece of Cardstock
- 1 Scrapbook Page, green (preferably with lines that look like bamboo) – optional
- Black Paint
- Scissors
- Glue
- Googly Eyes – optional
- Black marker (for the mouth)
Directions:
Print out the printable panda raft sheet (link at the top), and paint the arms, legs, bottom eye patches, and ears black. Leave the head, eyes, and belly white. Once dry, cut out and assemble as shown above. We glued the belly down first, then the arms on top of that, then the head. Draw on the mouth with a thin black marker.
Tip:
Cut out the eyes, belly, and head first so they don’t accidentally get painted.

Hi,
My son wanted to do a panda bear drawing/craft today. I had an idea of what I wanted but wasn’t sure how to originate it so did a search on the net. Yours was by far the cutest idea and doable. Thanks for helping us out this afternoon! great site. p.s. it might be fun to try some of those push pin that bend back to move the arms and legs….just a thought while I was putting it together.
