I had the opportunity to go out and take photos this morning… so where did I go? The farm, of course! But instead of taking pictures of the barns and hills, I went to my usual haunts of the roadside brush to get shots of the weeds, vines, and miscellaneous other wild goodness. I love taking pictures of plants – the weirder, the better. While I ride the four-wheeler, I will see little plants and I make a mental note to come back and take a picture. This happens the entire time I’m riding – I’ve always got that artsy eye going.
Look at this plant in the next two photos… isn’t it gorgeous? Reminds me of fireflies… delicate and pretty!
I was heading home when I caught a glimpse of these yellow flower things – not sure what they are, exactly. I rode over to take some pictures and saw this beautiful monarch butterfly. Unfortuantely, it was camera shy and flew off into the trees… but then this beauty came along. I was so lucky! lol

Oh, how fun!
Love the pics! You did a great job catching the butterfly. It makes me want to get out and explore with my camera, too.
