Crab craft ~ So cute!

Open Crab Printable

Last night Lorelai asked my to make her a couple more crafts. The first one she requested, after looking through our Maryland pictures, was a crab. She sat beside me the entire time I made the template and was really excited to see it come together in the end. While she was painting, she made up a little song: ‘Crabby, crabby, yummy yummy crabby, so fun to eaaaaaat’. I wish I had gotten a video of it! I’ll put up the other craft next, so stay tuned. Download/Print the sheet above, directions are at the bottom.

Materials We Used:

  • 1 Piece of Cardstock
  • 1 Scrapbook Page, seafoam blue (for an aquatic feel) – optional
  • Red Paint
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Googly Eyes – optional

Directions:

Print out the printable crab craft sheet (link at the top), and paint all of the pieces (except the eyes) red. Once dry, cut out and assemble as shown above, sticking the ends of the legs under the main body of the craft.

We used a seafoam blue, dotted scrapbook paper as the background, to give it a beachy feel. You can’t really see it in the picture though. Lorelai painted and glued everything. I cut the pieces out and helped her assemble them onto the page.
