I made a bunch of printables last night and Lorelai was happily surprised this morning when she woke up and saw them sitting on the table. She chose to do the rhino first, and she chose to paint him orange. Only my kid! =) Print below.
Facts About Rhinos
- Black rhinos are an endangered species, due mostly to poaching.
- Both black and white rhinos are colored gray – black rhinos have a pointed upper lip.
- Black rhinos browse and get their food from trees and bushes. They use their pointed lips to pluck the leaves and berries from the branches.
- Except for the females and their babies, rhinos are solitary animals, preferring to be alone.
- Rhinos feed at night and stay in the shade during the day. The African sun is very hot- they are known to roll around in the mud to protect themselves from the sun.
- Rhinos can weigh anywhere from 1,760 to 3,080 lbs.
