Owl Mask Craft

Fun & Easy Owl Mask Craft, pictured finished but not dry.

I’ve been wanting to do this craft with Lorelai for a while now; ever since I saw Candice/Chris’ (our friends) mask that they made for a craft swap I ran. I don’t remember what it looks like, but I put it on our craft to-do list. Lorelai was feeling a little restless a bit ago so I pulled out the supplies and winged it. It turned out much cuter… I couldn’t really get a decent picture, but it’s pretty cute!

Basic shape of our mask. String holes go by the eyes.
Gluing on the feathers!
Hoot-Hoot Hoot-Hoooooooot!

Materials We Used:

  • 1 Piece of Cardstock
  • 1 Length of String
  • Single Hole Puncher (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Feathers

Directions: Cut out the mask shape into a similar shape like above, including eye holes. (Make a small sliver in the paper with a knife or slightly bend the paper and clip with scissors to start the eye holes.) Punch holes in the mask beside the eyes for the string. Cover mask in glue and allow your child to glue down feathers. Wait until dry to add the string!

It’s really simple and fun. No printable – anyone can do this one!
