Hanging Rainbow Pasta

March 7, 2012 by Kimberly 3 Comments

Hanging Rainbow Pasta

This was essentially the craft I wanted to do with the dyed pasta. Unfortunately, aside from the green, none of the colors were very vibrant. Lorelai ended up painting all of them (except the green). While we were stringing the pasta, we talked about rainbows and how they are made.

What We Used:

  • Rotini Pasta
  • White String
  • Paint, Red/Orange/Yellow/Green/Blue/Purple
  • Scissors
  • Tape

What We Did:

Paint the pasta and allow to dry. We did 9 noodles per strand. I tied off the first noodle so that it wouldn’t slip off the end. Lorelai threaded the rest of the noodles on, then I hung them up via tape. Very easy!

You could also alternate by doing one of each color on each strand. This is also great for general crafts and making necklaces!
