{ Bathtub Painting with Shaving Cream }

July 8, 2012 by Kimberly Leave a Comment

I haven’t posted in a few days, but for good reason. Lorelai came down with a pretty bad cold and has just been feeling cruddy. She ended up passing it on to me and now we’re both fighting it. The other day I had to come up with something to do. At that point I’d reached my limit with Polly Pockets, Barbies, coloring books, and the Tangled soundtrack. So I filled a measuring cup up with shaving cream, grabbed a basting brush and some q-tips and stuck her in her bathtub. She went to town on the walls and soon all three were covered in shaving cream. After she “frosted” the walls, she used a q-tip to draw shapes and pictures in the cream.

I’ve seen this done before with food coloring. However, food coloring isn’t my friend and I didn’t want to make clean-up more complicated than it needed to be with this 20-minute activity. Plus, Lore was totally happy with the plain white.

Determined to get every square tile
