This isn’t the first time Lore has painted with spaghetti, but it is the first time in a long time. I think the last time was when we lived at our old apartment! It was fun seeing her re-discover this one. She had a great time dipping the paint and dropping the spaghetti onto the paper. I encouraged her to try a variety of techniques ~ pinching the spaghetti at one end and then running the other ends through the paint/paper. Grabbing it from the middle and blotting it onto the paper. Smearing the paint with a fistful of spaghetti, her personal favorite. There really is no wrong way to do this!
After she was finished, she got to get her hands a little more dirty by smearing the leftover paint around on the paper plate. She practiced writing and just enjoyed getting her hands messy!
Overall, this was a pretty fun paint activity! We will definitely do this one again. Maybe with more colors!
What You’ll Need:
- Spaghetti, cooked until al dente or bendy
- Paint
- Paper Plates
- Cardstock Paper
Directions are self-explanatory! =)
Note: It doesn’t take a lot of spaghetti. I used maybe half of a small package and it was too much.
