In the spirit of Halloween and all things spooky, we did this fun spider craft. I originally saw this on Paper Crafts and immediately put it on our to-do list. Here’s what you need:
- Empty toilet paper roll
- Glue & staples (optional)
- Paint & Accessories
- Wiggly Eyes (optional – you can paint eyes on!)
- A piece of construction paper & scissors to cut it
Smush the toilet paper roll flat. You can staple it closed as PH suggested, or you can just put glue inside and sit something heavy on top for a while. I did that part last night before bed so that it would be dry in the morning.
Next, trace your child’s hand onto the construction paper. Cut them out. You don’t need the thumb. I kept it on so Lore could paint the constructio npaper (again, optional) and then cut the thumbs off before I glued the fingers to the spider.
So yep, just paint anything you want painted and let dry. Then glue on the hands and eyes. So easy!
