Glitter, dumped.
Easy Popsicle Stick Snowflake

We started this craft last night and ended up having to do it twice because I wasn’t thinking and added the glitter before the popsicle sticks were completely glued down and dry. I ended up shaking them all off when I went to dump the excess glitter – doh! So, we started over and Lorelai glued them all down by herself. I adjusted as needed but it wasn’t much. This morning we added the glitter. She loves her little piece of “winter.” =)

Materials We Used: Mini Popsicle Sticks (8), Glue, Construction Paper, Glitter
Optional Materials: White Paint for the Popsicle Sticks
Directions: Glue down the popsicle sticks onto the construction paper as shown. Allow to dry completely, then line the tops of the popsicle sticks with glue. Draw the spokes coming out from each popsicle stick. Then, dump the glitter and shake off. Very simple.

While Lorelai was gluing down the sticks last night, I made a stamp with a bottle cap and two cut-out cardstock hearts (layered for added thickness). I saw the idea on Pinterest, but that particular one used the small foam shapes that have the sticker back. It worked really well for a cheap little stamp. By this morning, the heart I had glued down was off of the bottlecap, so definitely not a long-term type of thing. This would be great for last-minute homemade cards. Check out my hearts:

This morning after making a mess with the glitter, Lorelai played with our other stamps.
