I saw a very similar scarecrow craft on No Time for Flashcards (on Pinterest), but they used construction paper instead and just had their child glue down the pieces. Lorelai loves painting, so I always try to incorporate that. I made this printable and she loved it! She was telling me all of the shapes while she painted. She did cop an attitude once she found out the scarecrow wouldn’t have legs or “a big long stick to hold him up” (her words), hehe.
Materials We Used:
- 2 Pieces of Cardstock – 1 for printing one, 1 for the background
- Paint – Tan (brown/white mixed), Orange, Yellow, Green, Black (optional – for eyes)
- Black Marker
- Scissors
- Glue
Directions: Print and Paint the Scarecrow printable linked BELOW. Once dry, cut out all of the pieces and assemble. Draw on a mouth or use the one included, but that will be a pain to cut out. =)
